I’m being sent to boot camp…

…Macro Boot Camp, that is!

This post is primarily a love letter to my superlative son, Daniel, who is giving me this superlative gift.  Thanks for being so supportive of our venture, Danny Boy, and for this thoughtful, generous, treasured, and timely (!) gift.  You’re the best!

Macro Boot Camp is an intensive 3-day program presented by the guy in the nicely Photoshopped image below, Mike Moat, in various cities throughout the US and here in the Atlanta area in May 2012.

The camp looks to be fairly comprehensive…from composing and taking the photo to processing it through Photoshop.  Who could ask for more?  Not me certainly!  So I will be spending my time at the Hampton Inn in Alpharetta the weekend of May 4th through the 6th (hopefully not making too big a fool of myself!).  What a treat!  I’m so excited (if a tad intimidated..will I be the least experienced?…that sort of thing)  to see just what this puppy has to offer.

I am delighted to have this opportunity to learn the ins & outs of macro use, and I’m overwhelmed with surprise and gratitude for this wonderful gift.  Thanks so very much Danny.  I love u s-o-o much ♥!
